Our experience spans custom residential, multifamily residential, hospitality, and master planning projects, with a strong emphasis on high-performance and sustainable construction, like that of Passive House standards. As Certified Passive House Consultants, we are committed to designing environments that are not only energy-efficient but also resilient and comfortable. Through a collaborative design approach, we partner closely with our clients to bring their unique narratives to life, crafting spaces that reflect their vision and values.
Centrally located in New York’s Capital District, we are able to serve projects throughout the Capital District, Hudson Valley, North Country and beyond.

Chris Petrone, Principal, RA, NCARB, CPHC
Chris Petrone is the founder and principal of Chris Petrone Architect with over 15 years of professional architecture and design experience.
Prior to establishing Chris Petrone Architect, Chris was a project architect/manager for a custom residential firm in Hudson/NYC specializing in Passive House projects and a custom residential, hospitality and adaptive re-use firm in Troy, NY. While establishing his career at these firms, Chris worked on and completed several certified Passive House projects and the renovation/re-use of historic structures that received State and Federal Historic Tax Credits.
Chris earned a Masters of Science in Sustainability in the Urban Environment from The City College of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology with honors from New York Institute of Technology. He is NCARB Certified, a Certified Passive House Consultant, a member of NESEA and is licensed to practice architecture in NY.
